Unreal To Offer Digital Fashion Course

The Unreal fashion course promises to take participants behind the scenes of the fashion industry.

Unreal is offering a digital fashion course via its website. The course provides two hours of content revolving around creating digital fashion for artists, designers and brands that wish to enter the virtual fashion realm. According to Unreal, the course entitled Unreal Futures: Careers in Fashion will help brands differentiate themselves with unique virtual experiences.

“When you can make any environment you want or gamify the shopping experience, collections are no longer limited by the physical rules or location-based costs that shut ideas down,” Unreal says on its website.

Unreal Futures: Careers in Fashion promises to take participants behind the scenes of the fashion industry. Additionally, users will learn how interactive 3D is affecting the industry and about careers in design, retail and digital fashion. Burberry, Gary James McQueen, The Fabricant and The Fashion Innovation Agency are all featured in the course.

Unreal Digital Fashion Course: Bringing Visions to Life

Designers will leave the course with the skills to bring their visions into their own “real-time universe, opening up new ways to shape how” your audience perceives your collections. In contrast, the course also claims to prepare users who don’t want to create digital fashion themselves and guide artists to execute their vision.

Students will also acquire the skill to create virtual stores and fashion experiences. According to Unreal, “As brands and designers explore the emerging opportunities of virtual fashion, artists who can create real-time experiences will be in high demand.”

The Unreal Futures: Careers in Fashion course also includes free marketplace assets, project tutorials, and teacher and career guides. Additionally, the course provides career advice from 3D fashion professionals and step-by-step training.

Many established fashion companies have already begun creating digital fashion. Forever 21 partnered with Roblox to launch Forever 21 Shop City on Roblox. Likewise, Balmain and Mattel teamed up to create Barbie NFTs while metaverse, Decentraland, plans to host its first fashion week in March 2022.
