3D generative AI platform Atlas has officially launched. The platform works with game developers to create virtual worlds and experiences quicker than ever before. Atlas’s launch comes just after the close of two seeding fund rounds. The brand received $4.5M in a round led by 6th Man Ventures and $1.5M in a round led by Collab+Currency. The new funds will be used to expand Atlas’ suite of developer solutions.
“We’re thrilled to partner with such innovative leaders who share our vision for the future of content creation,” says CEO Atlas Ben James. “With our official launch and round close, Atlas will continue to develop our 3D AI using our unique, creator-first systemic approach so we can help more builders create the next evolution of gaming and virtual experiences.”
Partners with big names in gaming
Atlas lets industry partners rapidly scale asset development with the use of the platform, claiming to cut production time in half. Currently, the company is partnering with several AAA game studios and big names in next-gen gaming and immersive design, including Square Enix and Consortium9.
Atlas aims to build a tech stack to act as a collaborative design partner through augmenting intuition and streamlining workflows. The platform was designed following the Ethical Guidelines for Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence. By utilising the platform, developers can build entire virtual worlds and other creative assets that fit the tone and style of existing IP.
“In the deluge of companies claiming to be able to save game developers time, Atlas is the first one to actually accomplish the feat, and the timing couldn’t be better,” says Brooks Brown, Founder and CEO of Consortium9. “On our platform NOR, we destroy our entire game every few months, rebuilding the entire city with thousands of buildings in a unique and new architectural style. The very idea is absurd and impossible – at least it was. Thanks to Atlas’ pipeline, the absurd is not only plausible, but without compromise.”
