Warner Bros Offers The Flash Movie As An NFT

The first of the company’s new film releases to be featured on the blockchain includes an immersive Web3 experience

Warner Bros‘ newest superhero film, The Flash, is now its latest blockchain movie. Consumers can purchase the DC superhero film as an NFT through Eluvio. This is the third time Warner Bros has offered a film as an NFT, with the first two being Superman, and The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (Extended Edition).

“This is a chance for DC fans to own a piece of motion picture history,” says Michelle Munson, CEO and co-founder of Eluvio. “The Flash Web3 Movie Experience marks the first time a major studio motion picture is being released as a Web3 film in the same availability window as conventional digital purchase options.

“For Warner Bros – and the broader industry – it represents a new kind of immersive digital sell-through experience for 4K films and premium video assets, streamed from and backed by secure blockchain access and ownership on the Eluvio Content Fabric.”

Uncover clues in The Flash Immersive Web3 Experience

Purchasing The Flash as an NFT entitles the owner to a 4K UHD version of the film viewable on any device. Additionally, purchasers will have access to special features, collectible key art and digital easter eggs. Likewise, The Flash NFT owners can discover AR collectibles hidden throughout the immersive Web3 experience and can even sell the experience via a community marketplace starting August 1st.

Fans will immerse themselves in The Flash film’s universe as they help the titular character save the future. Specifically, users will aid The Flash in navigating the Chronobowl, a gateway into four dynamic menu interfaces. Users will explore Prime Barry’s apartment, Barry’s childhood room, the Batcave and the Batwing cockpit as they search for clues and unlock exclusive content.

Editions and super powers

The Flash Web3 Movie Experience comes in two editions – Mystery and Premium. The Mystery Edition costs $35 and includes one of four key arts and one of the four explorable dynamic interfaces. Additionally, the Mystery edition of the Flash NFT comes with the film’s theatrical edition and digital collectibles that go with the included dynamic interface.

The premium edition costs $100 and only 2,000 are available. This edition includes one of two motion key arts of varying rarity and all of the dynamic menu interfaces. The Flash immersive Web3 experience Premium edition also consists of The Flash film and exclusive premium special features.

Each The Flash Web3 Movie Experience purchaser will also receive a DC3 Super Power Pack: Series Dawn of DC voucher code. Each Super Power Pack: contains three of five comics selected at random.
