The Flash Movie Gets Interactive AR Try-On Experience

Warner Bros partners with Perfect Corp for an augmented reality experience with filters and effects

The new Flash movie sees a team up between Warner Bros and Perfect Corp to bring DC fans the chance to try on The Flash’s red lightning helmet using YouCam Apps. With the Flash AI/AR virtual try-on experience, moviegoers will feel as though they are a part of the film. The experience comes just in time for the release of the new The Flash film.

Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn recently became Co-CEO of DC Studios. Already Gunn has a 10-year plan for the DC universe, which began with Shazam! Fury of the Gods, which was released earlier this year. Gunn’s plan also includes DC video games like the upcoming DC Dual Force CCG title. The Flash, which launches in theatres tomorrow (June 16th), is the next instalment in the DC cinematic universe and the next step in Gunn’s plan. It’s not surprising that Warner Bros would want to make The film’s premier stand out with a unique AR experience considering the film is set to relaunch the DCU.

“We are excited to kick off an exciting partnership with Warner Bros. for the launch of their summer box office adventure, The Flash,” says Perfect Corp founder and CEO Alice Chang. “Through the use of AI and AR virtual try-on, we are creating impactful movie moments for The Flash fans inviting a completely new, hyper-engaged way to connect with their favourite superhero. We invite moviegoers to step into their own cinematic The Flash adventure powered by AI and AR virtual try-on.”

Through the YouCam Makeup and YouCam Perfect apps, DC fans can immerse themselves in the film’s action. The AR experience features The Flash movie filters and effects. Both apps are free on the App Store and the Google Play Store. Additionally, users can utilise exclusive animated effects and stickers.
