Tommy Hilfiger Teams Up With Zero10 For Augmented Reality Retail

The company’s new AR Mirror is revolutionising shopping by providing new experiences for retail

Augmented reality company Zero10 has partnered with Tommy Hilfiger to allow customers enjoy a new ‘try-on’ AR clothing experience in some Tommy Hilfiger stores across Europe.

Zero10’s AR Mirror technology will allow shoppers to virtually try on any clothing of their choice in retail stores using the kiosk. Once a shopper selects the clothes they want to try on, they simply need to stand in front of the try-on mirror and see what it would actually look like on them.

The AR Mirror tech uses 3D body tracking, multiclass segmentation, and cloth simulation to make the clothing look realistic.

George Yashin, CEO of Zero10 said, “After working on our proprietary technology for two years, building the high-quality virtual try-on, it’s a significant step for Zero10 to finally bring the AR Mirror to the real world and provide new experiences for retail. We believe that collaborations with innovative brands like Tommy Hilfiger will help to accelerate changes in the industry.”

Revolutionising the shopping experience

The partnership is already looking fruitful as in-store shoppers are currently able to try on up to 10 digital designs from the Tommy X Shawn Classics Reborn collection where three of these virtual looks will be accompanied by ‘animated effects’.

Zero10’s AR Mirror is not only for in-store shoppers as well. Individuals around the globe can also try on the digital collection in AR using the Zero10 mobile app that’s currently available on iOS devices.

The company is not only collaborating with retail brands but is also providing an AR Fashion Platform for creators and businesses. They can apply to make their digital designs accessible to users for virtual try-on via the Zero10 app.

Zero10’s AR Mirror technology will also be available in Tommy Hilfiger stores in London, Berlin and Milan.
