Dr. Squatch Launches Crypto Cleanse: The Only Soap With Added NFT

Just when crypto needs to clean up its act… Finally, a crypto-inspired soap

Men’s natural soap company, Dr. Squatch, is launching Crypto Cleanse, a limited-edition bar soap inspired by cryptocurrency hype and quite possibly just the thing for laundering all your dirty money…

In addition, the soap manufacturer is collaborating with CryptoDads to mint three NFTs. Dr. Squatch will be giving the NFTs away along with $500 as part of a sweepstakes.

Subscribers to their service (whereupon you receive regular boxes of bespoke masculine pampering goodies) can purchase a bar of Crypto Cleanse for $6, while non-subscribers will pay $8 per bar. The crypto-inspired soap is available exclusively on the Dr. Squatch website. Crypto Cleanse features a minty banana scent and offers medium grit exfoliation.

Meanwhile outside the real world, the associated NFTs will feature artwork by artist Nychos, known for blending macabre imagery with a colorful cartoon and comic-inspired aesthetic.

“For this collaboration, I wanted to dissect the Squatch and break him down into his core elements,” said Nychos in a press release. “The soap heart pumps suds through the veins, and the remainder is his disruptive, creative expression of communicating that message.”

The NFT-as-promotion craze rumbles on

Dr. Squatch may be one of the first soap companies to create NFTs. However, businesses in a variety of markets have been jumping on the NFT bandwagon. Mars Inc recently filed applications for M&M NFT, Crypto and Metaverse trademarks. Additionally, Crypto Arabs partnered with Shaabiat AI Cartoon to create NFTs based on the popular series.

Winners of the Crypto Cleanse sweepstakes, which runs from July 22 to August 5, will be selected at random. Each winner will receive a custom NFT featuring an artistic interpretation of the Dr. Squatch logo. In addition to the NFT, each winner will get a $500 Dr. Squatch gift card. It remains to be seen which will turn out the more valuable.

“With the launch of this bar, we are seamlessly blending elements of entertainment and education in two areas that today’s cultural zeitgeist cares about: personal care and cryptocurrency,” said Chief Marketing Officer for Dr. Squatch Josh Friedman.

CryptoDads also spoke about the partnership stating, “We felt that Dr. Squatch was the perfect partner for us because of our shared desire to educate, entertain, promote health, and make a positive impact in our communities. In celebration of our partnership, we’re excited to announce that Dr. Squatch has offered to donate $10,000 to St. Jude’s Children Hospital to support our shared vision to help improve lives.”
