Sergio Aguero’s KRÜ Esports Welcomes MLS Star Lionel Messi As New Partner

The addition of the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner to the esports scene will provide players with new opportunities

Retired professional football star Sergio Kun Agüero who is now CEO of KRÜ Esports has teamed up with longtime friend and former teammate Lionel Messi, often considered as the greatest footballer of all time, as a partner of KRÜ Esports.

The partnership aims to leverage its expertise in traditional professional sports into the realm of electronic sports and new digital media. As the 2022 World Cup winner delves into esports for the first time, it marks a milestone in the history of the industry.

Centred on the expansion and advancement of the competitive gaming realm, both Agüero and Messi’s collaboration not only adds influence and global recognition but also serves as an inspiration for present and upcoming talents in the esports scene.

An inspiration to all

“I am happy to share a club with Leo, of course now in a new stage and with other challenges. It is an honour that he is part of KRÜ. He is the best footballer in history, and also a great friend. His presence is relevant because he projects values such as perseverance, humility and resilience. He is a figure that inspires everyone and will be a great contribution to the scene in general,” said Aguero.

Ever since it was established in 2020, KRÜ has gone on to gain the admiration of the gaming community and has established itself as one of the foremost clubs in the scene by acting as a bridge between the different regions and inspiring people to reach their goals.

In addition to upholding high sporting standards, KRÜ prioritises producing high-quality content, organising events, and providing audiences with exclusive experiences. This highlights the essence of KRÜ, fostering community, and embodying a genuine club spirit by creating content and entertainment.

KRÜ Esports will celebrate the year’s conclusion and the start of a new phase on Saturday, December 16th. The event will celebrate KRÜ’s efforts beyond esports, spotlighting the club as a central hub for diverse communities.
