TikTok’s $6 million fund will provide monetary incentives to creators based on the level of engagement their effects receive from users. Initially, for each effect used in 500,000 unique videos within 90 days following its release, creators will get $700 as compensation.

In addition, creators will earn an extra $140 for every subsequent 100,000 videos featuring their effects, within the same 90-day timeframe. TikTok has not provided any details regarding its intentions for the fund once the $6 million allocation has been exhausted.

More earning options for creators

This announcement follows TikTok’s recent launch of its Creativity Program Beta, an updated version of its creator fund. Just two weeks ago, the company expanded the availability of this program to all eligible creators residing in the United States, France, and Brazil.

However, the new program is designed to generate higher revenue and provide creators will real-world opportunities. Eligible creators must be at least 18 years old and have up to 10,000 followers and have garnered up to 100,000 views in the last 30 days.

Both the Effect Creator Rewards and the Creativity Program are the newest inclusions within TikTok’s array of monetisation tools, joining existing features like the LIVE subscriptions and TikTok Pulse.

Collectively, these tools provide the company’s creators with a comprehensive suite of options to generate revenue from their content on the platform.
