NFT Gaming Company Hires Team To Develop AI Games

The US company intends to use artificial intelligence to accelerate the development of its Gaxos platform of games

New Jersey-based game developers The NFT Gaming company has hired a specialised team to develop Artificial Intelligence-based games for its Gaxos platform. The new team consists of game developers, AI developers, artists and back-end developers.

The NFT Gaming company is in the process of building its digital gaming platform. Players will create a custom avatar NFT which they will be able to use throughout all games on the platform. The platform will feature third-party games as well as games the company develops.

Building Its AI Game Portfolio

Currently, the NFT Gaming Company is working to build a portfolio of artificial intelligence-driven games using technologies like ChatGPT and GPT-4. It is also using an AI image generator, Midjourney, for some of its game art.

“The expansion of AI represents an exciting opportunity in gaming,” says Vadim Mats, CEO of NFTG. “The technology will have a profound impact on the sector by creating smarter and more adaptive non-player characters (NPCs), generating game content, and ultimately creating a more customisable gaming experience. These new hires will allow us to sit at the forefront of this emerging market as we work to establish ourselves as a market leader in the $300 billion gaming space.”

Previously, the NFT Gaming company acquired Voxpow with the goal of integrating AI speech recognition into Gaxos. The company currently has about a dozen games in its development portfolio. It plans to begin its commercial rollout on both major smartphone platforms by the end of the second quarter of 2023.

AI in Game Development

As generative AIs have become more prominent, so has their use in various fields, including the games industry. Ubisoft’s Ghostwriter AI generates first drafts of NPC barks to aid narrative designers. Despite fears, the company promises its AI will not replace writers. In addition, Google has submitted a patent for AI automated game testing.
