Humble Bundle is hosting an earthquake relief bundle where all money raised will be donated to the Türkiye-Syria relief effort.
In a bid to raise funds to help those in need, Humble Bundle is hosting a massive game bundle featuring 72 items. The bundle was created by teaming up with game makers and book publishers to create a bundle dedicated to supporting relief efforts. The bundle features items worth over $1,000 with video games such as Gotham Knights, Pathfinder: Kingmaker Enhanced Plus Edition and XCOM 2, among many others.
Those who wish to own the bundle can donate £24.92 or more, with all the proceeds going to Direct Relief, International Medical Corps and Save the Children to support their continued quake relief efforts.
The bundle is a great offer of gaming titles and supports a cause in dire need of help. With many people in desperate need of shelter, food, water and supplies, donations of all sizes will contribute toward helping those in need during this devastating time. So far, the bundle has raised £2,158,553 for charity and for those that wish to donate, the bundle will be available until March 9th, 2023.
Why help is needed
On February 6th, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Türkiye and Syria and after only nine hours, a second 7.5 magnitude earthquake hit the region, causing further destruction. Since then, numerous aftershocks have occurred and a 5.6 magnitude earthquake struck on February 27th.
Reports show that over 45,000 people have lost their lives with 115,000 people injured and over 214,000 buildings being destroyed and heavily damaged. Thousands have been left injured and displaced, adding to the vast numbers of people that already sought help due to the ongoing conflict in Syria. This tragedy marks the region’s worst natural disaster in a century.
