To celebrate Pokémon Day, streaming giant Netflix has unveiled the first teaser trailer of its upcoming series Pokémon Concierge.
The upcoming series will be a stop-motion show that takes place on a resort where Pokémon trainers can relax, have fun and let their Pokémon have a good time on a paradise-like beach.
Netflix’s first trailer for Pokémon Concierge gives us a glimpse of the shows protagonist Haru who works at the Pokémon resort and we get a glimpse of the popular water type Pokémon Psyduck. The show will follow Haru on her journey across the resort as she helps Pokémon with their stay.

While the trailer doesn’t give much away, we do see Psyduck waddling along the beach following in Haru’s footsteps, looking up into the sky and presumably spotting something of interest.
The female-voiced narration in the trailer and title card suggests that the series will likely adopt original aspects of the Pokémon franchise while also taking the pace down slightly from the typical battle storylines fans are accustomed to. Perhaps it’s time our much beloved Pokémon got a well deserved beach break.

Pokémon Concierge is “Expanding the Pokémon world,” with a story that “follows Haru, a concierge at the ‘Pokémon Resort,’ and her interactions with Pokémon and their owners who visit as guests.”
Netflix is yet to announce a release date or total number of episodes for Pokémon Concierge.
