The multiexperience development platform market is seeing a significant growth projection.

Market projections show that multiexperience development could grow from $2.7 billion in 2022 to $7.2 billion by 2027. This is at a Compound Annual Growth Rate of 21.8% according to Business Wire. So what is multiexperience development?

The term refers to the process of having a user experience that can be accessed through a variety of digital points. This includes websites, mobile apps, chatbots, and even VR. These platforms need to maintain a consistent service for the user while ensuring that there are multiple touchpoints available.

More out of multiexperience

Rather than choosing what platforms to develop on it’s quickly becoming a case of developing for as many as possible. With a consistent user experience across multiple devices and platforms, users can feel connected with their applications in a more immersive way. Although this process can be difficult, its importance is becoming more critical. The wider your reach, the bigger the audience.

While this strategy is useful across various sectors such as retail, banking, and healthcare. It’s also something that can have an impact on the gaming industry. With the metaverse projected to reach a $1 trillion commerce opportunity by 2025, it’s expected that more people will start to look toward these immersive gaming experiences.

One of the barriers to metaverse titles is simple accessibility. Some of these experiences can only be accessed via a VR headset. While the technology is becoming more popular, some are yet to catch on to VR and others find the equipment too expensive. I’m looking at you Meta Quest Pro. However, imagine if these experiences expand on their interoperability. You could join your favourite metaverse experience on the go while using your phone, then get home and immerse yourself deeper by jumping into the experience with a VR headset.

Advancing technologies

A huge driver in the projected growth for multiexperience development is because of VR and AR. Augmented reality provides users with an experience that blends the real and digital worlds to either create an immersive experience or enhance learning. Workplaces are using both of these technologies more to train staff and VR is even being used to create learning experiences.

In addition, artificial intelligence will be a large contributing factor to growth. AI has already been extremely popular in the last decade to improve demand prediction, resource utilisation, and behavioural patterns. As AI evolves further, its capabilities can become more extensive and quicker. This means that the personal needs of the user can be met with far greater efficiency.
