Fans of the Fallout game franchise anxiously anticipate the upcoming television series adaptation. Both Fallout 4 and its MMO counterpart, Fallout 76, feature the Red Rocket Gas station. The station is easily recognizable to fans of the games and a set of recently leaked photos shows the station will also appear in the tv show.
The Fallout games take place in a post-apocalyptic United States. The games feature a retro 1950s-style world that’s home to mutants, ghouls, and other monstrosities. Throughout the wastes are underground vaults where people could safely avoid the radiation above. Thus far, only one official screenshot has been unveiled, which seems to feature a vault dweller standing in a vault’s doorway.
Luckily, an avid Fallout fan spotted the Red Rocket filling station set being built in New York. Twitter user J Carson shared several photos of the station’s set. The Red Rocket station set is still under construction. However, the images clearly show the station’s iconic rocket-inspired awning and bright red gas pumps. Rusty retro vehicles line the parking lot; all that’s missing is the iconic red rocket that adorns the station’s roof. Luckily the photos show a near-exact replica of the in-game location, giving fans hope that the series will stay faithful to its source material.
“Red Rocket Corp, simply known as Red Rocket, was a pre-War company that operated a nationwide chain of filling stations for automobiles, characteristic for their Raygun Gothic architecture. More to come.” Writes J Carson in a tweet accompanying the photos.
Carson has shared multiple photos of the Fallout set on Twitter and hopefully, there are more coming soon.
