Microsoft is partnering with Aptos Labs to launch Aptos Assistant, a user-friendly, secure assistant that bridges the gap between web2 and web3 for both organisations and induvial users.
The new assistant will utilise Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service, allowing users to learn to navigate web3 easily. Users can ask the assistant any question about the Aptos blockchain ecosystem and the new assistant will guide developers through the process of building smart contracts and decentralised apps.
“The intersection of AI and blockchain is one of the most interesting combinations of emerging technologies and can generate transformational use cases,” says Rashmi Misra, General Manager, AI & Emerging Technologies, Microsoft. “By fusing Aptos Labs’ technology with the Microsoft Azure Open AI Service capabilities, we aim to democratise the use of blockchain enabling users to seamlessly onboard to Web3 and innovators to develop new exciting decentralised applications using AI.”
Microsoft and Aptos Explore New Solutions
Microsoft and Aptos Labs also plan to explore innovative solutions like asset tokenisation and Central Bank Digital Currencies. Through these explorations, the companies aim to drive Web3 adoption from financial service enterprises. Aptos will also run validator nodes on Microsoft Azure to advance the Aptos blockchain’s security.
“Artificial Intelligence and blockchain technologies are quickly converging for one important reason: they are both generational breakthroughs that profoundly impact the evolution of the internet and shape society,” says Mo Shaikh, Aptos Labs CEO. “Together with Microsoft, our shared vision is to ensure that this technology is accessible to more people and organisations than ever before.”
The Rise of Web3
While web3 is still relatively new, more and more brands are leaping into the Web3 space. Ubisoft recently released the trailer for its first Web3 game, Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles. Likewise, fast-food chain McDonald’s joined the Sandbox metaverse with its new McNugget Land experience. Blockchain game developer Nakamoto Games is even helping to transform web2 games into web3 games.
