iPhone company Apple is now accepting applications for its Vision Pro Developer Kits. To be considered, developers must submit an application, agree to the company’s terms and have an Apple developer account.
And since Apple won’t be giving out access to its Vision Pro Developer Kits to just anyone, interested Devs will need to detail the development skills of their team as well as their existing apps.
“Applications will be reviewed and priority will be given to applicants creating an app that takes advantage of visionOS features and capabilities,” says Apple. Each successful applicant will be assisted in setting up the device and, “Check-ins with Apple experts for UI design and development guidance, and help refining your app.”
Devs may have to return the kit
Apple says it’ll loan successful applicants the Vision Pro Developer Kit so they can prepare their app for the launch of the new App Store on the upcoming headset. Developers would also need to return the Apple-owned development device upon request.
Once approved, applicants will also receive development guidance and help to refine their app including two additional code-level support requests, so they can troubleshoot any issues with their code.
To apply, you’ll need to be an Account Holder in the Apple Developer Program. Then provide details about your team’s development skills and existing apps, and agree to the terms and conditions. Applications should be submitted via the official Apple Developer website.
The company recently announced its Vision Pro with impressive features and has scheduled its launch for early 2024 at $3,499.
