In a Public Test Build exclusively on Steam, both gaming and movie fans can now embody Ghost Rider star Nicolas Cage in Dead by Daylight, taking on the role of a determined Survivor struggling to make it through the night. According to Behaviour Interactive, this marks the first time a public figure joins the popular survival horror game as a fictionalised version of himself.
This appearance in the game adds to Cage’s celebrity meta world, following last year’s The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent movie from Lionsgate, in which the Hollywood star plays a dramatised version of himself.
The developers describe Cage’s inclusion in Dead by Daylight as, “While on set filming the role of a lifetime, his performance summoned The Entity, a malevolent being of incomprehensible power. The actor soon found himself cast in otherworldly Fog, forced to survive a host of terrifying Killers deadlier than even the most scathing film critic.”
Having witnessed his on-screen performances, fans can now step into the shoes of Cage himself through three new character perks. These Perks offer new gameplay possibilities for players to immerse themselves as Nic Cage in Dead by Daylight.
With Dramaturgy, players can use their instincts during exhilarating moments of intensity. While the outcome remains uncertain, it is this element of unpredictability that amplifies the thrill of a player’s survival.

There’s also a plot twist in the third act that breathes new life into film and trial alike. Leveraging their acting skills, players will delve into their characters on a whole new level as they embark on a daring and rewarding journey.
Nicolas Cage is now available to play in the Public Test Build exclusively on Steam. The Dead by Daylight: Nicolas Cage Chapter will be available for purchase starting July 25th at 12:00 p.m. (EDT).
The exclusive Dead by Daylight: Nicolas Cage Chapter Pack will also be available on the same date via Steam, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Epic Games Store, Windows Store and Nintendo Switch.
