Bodyswaps, together with Meta Immersive learning has announced the final list of higher and further education institutions to participate in its Immersive Learning Pilot Programme.
Bodyswaps is a provider of immersive learning software which allows learners to practice soft skills in VR with AI-enabled analytical feedback. The company’s VR learning platform will allow users to confidently sharpen their soft skills in VR while building the communication, leadership skills and teamwork required to succeed in a global job market.
CEO and Co-founder of Bodyswaps Christophe Mallet commented, “Immersive technologies represent an immense opportunity to improve education for traditionally underserved populations. This grant, the largest of its kind ever, will demonstrate the impact VR learning can have at scale and show the way for a more human-centric and equalitarian future for education.”
Immersive learning
Bodyswaps also revealed that 106 colleges and universities across the globe will receive access to its VR hardware. In addition to software with 3 months of unlimited access to the complete Bodyswaps soft skills learning library. Meta, on the other hand, will support the hardware by donating its Meta Quest 2 VR headsets.
The programme will also allow wider access to immersive learning technologies in education and will support students by helping them gain the necessary soft skills needed to compete and stand out in the worldwide job market.

Into the metaverse
According to the company, a variety of courses will be available to the grantees, including modules on diversity and inclusion, public speaking and employability training that’ll empower students with the soft skills development that might’ve been hindered by the pandemic.
Bodyswaps will work with Meta’s Immersive Learning to demonstrate the possibilities for learning in the metaverse to select institutions.
