WAGMI Games is announcing a special physical edition of its comic book, NiFe Wars. The company is creating 10,000 physical copies of the comic. Previously WAGMI sold 5,973 digital copies of the comic. Now, consumers can only obtain the digital version by trading on L2 marketplaces.
Owners of the digital version can receive a physical copy for free through a coupon on the WAGMI Games dashboard. The physical edition of Nife Wars will feature two brand new covers adding to their collector’s value.
NiFe Wars: The Betrayal
NiFe Wars Volume 1: The Betrayal follows Jon and Susie as they sneak and snoop within the Gray’s HQ putting their lives and the Earth’s treaty at risk. However, the two soon learn of an alliance between Isacar and the villainous Kaphrait.
“With this treachery, we learn the intent the Grays have for humanity and how the battle for NIFE will soon begin,” writes WAGMI. “Be ready to be dismayed by the riveting events that will go down as one of the greatest betrayals humanity has ever faced.”
Owning a digital NiFe Wars comic entitles the purchaser to monthly war chests that contain in-game resources for the upcoming WAGMI Defense strategy title. The company has yet to clarify exactly what types of resources players can find within these chests. Set to release in the first quarter of 2023, WAGMI claims the platform will be the first to allow for true asset ownership without crypto or NFT requirements. This means users can trade and sell assets via traditional forms of payment.
Comics and Web3
WAGMI isn’t the only brand setting its sights on Web3 comic creation. LightningWorks is launching Siege Worlds Zero, an interactive Web3 comic that is also a blockchain game. A play-and-earn FPS, Siege Worlds Zero allows players to unlock NFT weapons by finding secrets and clues within the comic. According to LightningWorks, Siege Wars is the first interactive Web3 comic.
