Horizon-inspired clothing is now available on the ASOS website. Created by the game’s developer Guerrilla, the clothing line features hoodies, t-shirts and sweatpants and each piece is clearly influenced by the game’s famously great art and main character, Aloy.
The collection is available now for most regions with prices ranging from £26 to £38. However, it won’t reach the United States until early next year. The clothing line is being released by Guerrilla as part of the Horizon Raw Materials brand.
“Exclusive collab alert! We’ve teamed up with Horizon Forbidden West, PlayStation’s next-gen masterpiece, to create a limited collection of printed perfection,” states ASOS on its website. “This drop is stamped with the game’s iconic backdrops and machines, while bold co-ords have been designed with main character Aloy in mind.”
What is Horizon Forbidden West?
Horizon Forbidden West is the blockbuster sequel to the 2017 hit video game Horizon Zero Dawn. The series follows a young woman named Aloy as she battles terrifying machine creatures and attempts to save the remnants of human civilization from total annihilation.
Horizon Zero Dawn was popular enough to catch the eye of popular streaming service, Netflix where a series based on the game is now being developed. Horizon Forbidden West would likely have done well despite the lack of AAA game releases in 2022. However, the blockbuster title vacuum certainly allowed the title to gain extra attention.
“Though heavily inspired by the game — you might recognize elements and details from Aloy’s look, our Horizon graphic novels, or our key art — we took great care to translate this inspiration into streetwear fashion that can be styled in a variety of new and exciting ways,” writes Guerrilla in a PlayStation blog post.
According to Guerrilla, the collection’s super soft t-shirts, hoodies and joggers are perfect re the perfect attire for a marathon gaming session, Horizon Zero West isn’t the only PlayStation title to come out with a clothing line. To celebrate the series’ 20th anniversary, SuperGroupies released a Kingdom Hearts collection over the summer.
