Former Edge magazine editor Joao has been writing about videogames since 1997, but has been playing them since the late 1970s. Joao did foresee an era in which games would evolve to ultimately integrate with other aspects of everyday life. He just didn't predict his stint on Edge would ensure he'd be referring to himself in the third person for the rest of his days.
