OneRepublic Releases Assassin’s Creed Mirage Track Feat. Mishaal Tamer

The song marks the first time the Assassin’s Creed series has partnered with a top 50 global artist

Pop band OneRepublic has partnered with Ubisoft to create a new track inspired by the upcoming game Assassin’s Creed Mirage. The new song, Mirage (for Assassin’s Creed Mirage) Feat. Mishaal Tamer, was written by songwriter and lead singer of the band Ryan Tedder. Mirage features elements from the game’s original soundtrack, which was composed by Brendan Angelides in collaboration with lead vocalist and violinist Layth Sidiq.

“Most people don’t know this about me, but my band and I are closet gamers. I’ve been a huge fan of Assassin’s Creed since the beginning,” says OneRepublic lead singer Ryan Tedder. “Having toured extensively in the Middle East, I wanted to capture the spirit of that region and reflect the location of the game sonically as much as possible. I can’t wait for our fans and fans of AC to hear what we came up with. This was a definite pinch myself moment.”

New Mirage Track Features Mishaal Tamer

Mirage (for Assassin’s Creed Mirage) features Saudi musical artist Mishaal Tamer. Tamer, who takes inspiration from Arab music from Levant, Egypt and the Arabian Gulf, as well as K-pop, Indie rock and Urban Latino, opened for OneRepublic during the band’s Summer European Tour 2023.

“To be featured on a song with my musical heroes, OneRepublic, that soundtracks my favourite video game, is a dream come true. I am honoured to be a part of this special collaboration with OneRepublic and Assassins Creed,” says Tamer.

The song marks the first time the Assassin’s Creed series has partnered with a top 50 global artist. However, the series is known for its epic soundtracks. In fact, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarök won a Grammy Award for its soundtrack this year.

In Assassin’s Creed Mirage, players take on the role of Basim, a cunning street thief suffering from terrible visions. The game, which takes place in the Middle East during medieval times, is now available to preorder.
