Interactive Storytelling App RichCast Launches Worldwide

The Oliver Twins use conversational AI to help anyone create their own interactive titles without knowing how to code

New interactive storytelling app RichCast is now available worldwide for iOS and Android devices. Through the app, anyone can bring their stories to life in interactive fashion without writing a line of code.

“We believe that many people would like to create and share interactive stories,” says the CEO of parent company Panivox, Philip Oliver. “Currently, there’s no way of doing this without learning to code, and it’s even harder to get content published. RichCast is a platform for creating, sharing and playing interactive stories and making them available automatically across many devices.”

Upon downloading the RichCast app, users will gain access to a library of immersive, choose-your-own-adventure interactive experiences. Players can control each tale through voice recognition or touch screen buttons. However, by choosing to use speech recognition, users can enjoy a more immersive experience thanks to the app’s use of conversational AI.

RichCast creators, The Oliver Twins, Philip and Andrew Oliver boast over 40 years in the gaming industry. Responsible for hundreds of video games, the two are best known for creating the 1980s game series, Dizzy. Philip and Andrew’s belief that anyone should be able to create interactive narrative games without learning to code led to the app’s creation.

RichCast Offers intriguing stories at launch

At launch, RichCast includes 30 interactive titles for users to enjoy. Among the launch titles are Dracula – The Doomed Voyage, Alex Knight – Murder On 8th, My Ex-Best Friend and Demon Simulator. In Dracula – The Doomed Voyage, players board Count Dracula’s ship, the Demeter, on a journey across the Black Sea. Meanwhile, Alex Knight – Murder On 8th follows the titular character as she attempts to solve a murder. Violet struggles at her new college when she realises her ex-best friend and crush is also there in My Ex-Best Friend. Finally, things heat up in Demon Simulator as you take on the role of a demon during their first possession.
