Esports gaming marketplace Moxy.io has announced the launch of its ‘Esports For All’ Beta Challenge that will allow gamers to compete in esports-style gaming and get various rewards including Moxy tokens, collectables and up to $100,000 cash.
The platform’s upcoming Beta Challenge is seen as a major milestone in Moxy’s roadmap and is looking to stress-test various components while onboarding esports competitors ahead of the eventual platform launch and Token Generation Event (TGE).
In the company’s Beta Challenge, participants are tasked with winning games against other players to get points and progress through four seasons. When the fourth season concludes, players at the summit of the Moxy Leaderboard will be rewarded with the aforementioned prizes.
Leveraging Blockchain
Moxy said that it aims to elevate this fast-growing industry, still largely reserved for elite gamers who compete as part of professional teams at invite-only events.
The blockchain-powered platform makes esports gameplay available to everyday gamers, with real rewards flowing into the hands of the winners and this new project will leverage blockchain to facilitate real-time transactions as well as ensure players are protected from hacking and fraud.
Eligible players can participate by signing up, creating a Moxy Club account and completing the KYC. Afterwards, they’ll be given 1,000 Moxy testnet tokens required to face off with other esports competitors. Players will also earn 50 Moxy tokens as a referral bonus for every successful referral who completes the sign-up and KYC process.
The company isn’t revealing the value of each prize level until the Moxy platform is launched. In addition, participants must be aged 21 or older to enter the Beta Challenge.
