Over the past few months, generative AI has become increasingly popular and not just among hobbyists.
Netflix Japan’s new short anime, Dog and Boy, features background images that a generative AI created. Australian company, Absolutely AI, recently won a photography competition with an AI-generated image. Similarly, Jason Allen, president of the tabletop game company Incarnate Games won the Colorado State Fair’s fine art competition in September with a piece generated by MidJourney. Allen argued against haters stating he still had to edit the image after its generation. Now WOMBO aims to make manual image editing a thing of the past.
According to WOMBO, its new AI, Dream by WOMBO is the first image-generating AI to incorporate image editing through text prompts on a mobile platform. CEO and founder of WOMBO, Ben-Zion Benkhin states that he and his company love its users and wish to push the limits of what AI can achieve for them.
“Our early users told us they wanted more customization options, and now with the new release, they can tweak their images to their heart’s content. No more starting from scratch, just ask and you shall receive! From X to Y to Z,” says Benkhin.
WOMBO’s editing feature
Over 60 million users have downloaded Dream by WOMBO with more than 1.5 billion images generated. The new feature isn’t limited to images generated by Dream, users can also use photos they take and apply the new AI editing feature.
“This changes Dream from being a starting point for creativity to a more full-fledged professional creator platform,” Benkhin adds. “This is a big step towards AI helping people articulate what is in their head and getting it, without settling for something that is just close.”
WOMBO alleges that Dream is the most popular text-to-image generator. The company also states that with its new AI editing feature, Dream allows artists to easily and efficiently explore and expand their creativity. Dream by WOMBO is available for download on Google Play and the App Store.
