Paris Hilton Is Celebrating Valentine’s In The Sandbox

The search for love has hit the metaverse with Paris Hilton set to host a reality dating show and dance the night away

The Sandbox is celebrating Valentine’s Day in the metaverse with Parisland, a romantic adventure set on a tropical island featuring Paris Hilton. 

A subsidiary of Animoca Brands, The Sandbox is a metaverse experience that continues to make new partnerships and create new events. This time around the game is utilising its partnership with Paris Hilton for a Valentine-themed event. 

In this new experience, players will participate in an in-game dating reality show hosted by Paris Hilton. During the show, players will interact with five potential romantic partners in a Sandbox version of blind dating.

Paris Hilton tweeted about the metaverse event which launches on February 13th. Once the event is live, activities such as shopping for new outfits or selecting wedding rings will be available, there’s also the opportunity to rescue a castaway and attend a wedding where Hilton will be DJing.

Valentine event in the metaverse

COO and co-founder of The Sandbox, Sebastien Borget commented on the event saying, “I can’t think of a better way to light up the winter months than a romantic Valentine’s Day getaway to Paris Hilton’s tropical island in the metaverse. Parisland offers a dazzling escape to sunny beaches, lighthearted romance, and genuine emotion as you discover and woo your romantic partner and celebrate with a destination wedding.” 

The Sandbox platform continues to grow with its virtual real estate, amusement park, and shared digital spaces where worlds collide and users can explore. Currently, over 400 partners have joined The Sandbox, including Warner Music Group, Ubisoft, Snoop Dogg, The Walking Dead, and numerous others. 

Cynthia Miller, who leads Web3 and metaverse strategy at 11:11 Media, a next-gen entertainment company, also commented on The Sandbox event, “We’re thrilled to celebrate another holiday in the metaverse, this time in The Sandbox with a mission to help people find love. This marks yet another defining moment for Paris and 11:11 Media, as we continue to develop innovative, interactive experiences for next-gen audiences to connect with brands, celebrities, and each other.”
