Timex is partnering with Bored Ape Yacht Club community members in launching Timex Goes Ape, a collection of ultra-rare one-of-one timepieces and corresponding digital twin NFTs, exclusively available to members of the Bored Ape and Mutant Ape community.
“In partnership with the BAYC community, we are redefining and pushing the boundaries of physical, virtual, and now phygital products,” says Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and Creative Services Timex Group Shari Fabiani.
The renowned watch company plans to release 500 watches alongside their virtual counterparts for the project. The physical watches will be delivered during 2023’s second quarter. Joining Timex for the phygital project are LOGIK, BaronVonHustle, Josh Ong, Zeneca, The Miami Ape and CryptoVonDoom. Also participating in the Timex Goes Ape project is Daz3D, a Web3 marketer, strategist and full-stack developer firm.
“From customizing the digital collectible and unboxing the physical watch to flexing at Ape Fest, these incredible timepieces will delight Ape holders and keep them guessing at surprises yet to come,” says Bored Room Ventures co-founder Josh Ong.
Timex began selling the Timex Goes Ape Collection for 2 Ether (ETH) on December 2 by invitation only. However, as of December 4, the collection is available for all BAYC community members to purchase through the 31st.
