Project gets the green light
Back in 2013, both The Social Network and Fifty Shades of Grey producers Mike de Luca and Dana Brunetti were attached to Sony’s Gran Turismo live-action adaptation. This particular project was initially set to follow the true story of how GT5 gamer Lucas Ordóñez became a real-life racing driver.
The Gran Turismo film adaptation is amongst other highly anticipated adaptations from PlayStation Productions such as the Ghost of Tsushima movie which will be directed by John Wick’s Chad Stahelski.
For the TV series, HBO’s The Last of Us has wrapped filming but is yet to have a concrete release date but will not be coming out this year. Other acclaimed titles include Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War are also in the works at Netflix and Amazon respectively.
