Simracing.GP And Intel Partner To Host Community-Style Racing Events

The two companies will host a variety of esports events and initiatives to support the sim racing community and bring the action to the masses

Global simulation racing hub Simracing.GP has partnered with CPU manufacturer Intel to collaborate on various activities in the coming weeks. Both companies will make a public debut at the upcoming Insomnia Gaming Festival in Birmingham, UK from the 8th to 10th of September.

During the event at the NEC, SGP will operate five sim racing rigs at the Intel booth. They’ll do this using the newest Intel hardware to create an experience with Assetto Corsa Competizione. Attendees can set up hot laps, take part in organised races and witness industry influencers racing on the set-up.

Adam Eley, head of sales and marketing at SGP said, “Intel is a fantastic brand to be working with and we are so pleased that it sees the potential in the sim racing market. Working together, we aim to help sim racers gain a better understanding of how to get the most from their hardware, while providing some excellent racing opportunities at the same time.”

Supporting the community

Intel will sponsor five sim racers by upgrading their PCs and these racers will then form a team to compete in the SGP Rivals tournament. SGP Rivals will be a cross-community and platform tournament, where multiple communities will compete against each other in head-to-head races. The winning team will receive an Intel community donation and prizes for the drivers.

“We are thrilled to partner with Simracing.GP and support its amazing community with some exciting initiatives, including rewarding five deserving racers with the latest Intel Core processors and Intel Arc Graphic Cards for the Rivals’ race series,” said UK, Ireland and Nordic gaming marketing specialist at Intel Mark Broom.

Lastly, as part of Intel’s Gamer Days campaign, SGP will host some community-style racing events as well. Come September 8th to 10th, the racing rigs will be available at the Intel stand in the main exhibition hall at the Insomnia Gaming Festival.
