Iconic thrash metal band Megadeth has teamed up with global video game company Wargaming for Metal Fest, a multi-title in-game music event. The event is spread across four of Wargaming’s titles: World Of Tanks Modern Armor, World Of Tanks Blitz, World Of Warships, and World Of Warships: Legends. Metal Fest runs until October 3rd.
“This is the first time our images have been immortalised in video games,” says frontman Dave Mustaine. “Moreover, our mascot has unleashed its own roaring voice, adding even more metal mayhem to the games. We’ve laid down over 350 mind-melting voice lines, and players will feel the thunder as we command during the battles. We have tanks, we have warships, and we are ready for Wargaming Metal Fest!”
Celebrate Metal Fest with Vic Rattlehead
Metal Fest is a celebration of Metal music and band members Dave Mustaine, James LoMenzo, Dirk Verbeuren, and Kiko Loureiro provide voiceovers for the event. A 3D rendition of the band’s iconic mascot, Vic Rattlehead, is also making an appearance. Additionally, Megadeth in-game merch, quests and songs are available during Metal Fest.
World of Tanks Modern Armor players can partake in Challenges to unlock Megadeth-themed rewards. Two new tanks inspired by the albums Peace Sells…But Who’s Buying? and The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead! are available in the game store. Additionally, Vic Rattlehead is available as an exclusive 3D commander during the event, while the band members will be 2D Commanders.
A Megadeth quest awaits World Of Tanks Blitz players. Players can earn exclusive rewards, including avatars and an exclusive tank skin. A replica of Mustaine’s guitar can be seen in the Hangar in-game.
World of Warships PC’s Metal Fest Event offers players special missions where they can earn exclusive commanders. Players can also earn the Death Ray patch. World of Warships Legends players can receive the cruiser Rattlehead and adorn their captains in band members Dabe and Vic’s likeness. In addition, players can earn a flag featuring the band’s logo and Vic Rattlehead.
