Popular convenience store franchise 7-Eleven is hosting a new challenge for car enthusiasts in Fortnite. For years, 7-Eleven has been building a solid relationship with Instagram’s car community and now the brand invites fans to join a scavenger hunt spanning three Fortnite maps.
Participants can find clues to unlock a secret 7-Eleven-themed island by following @7eleven. Using the clues, players can discover store-branded cars throughout the participating Fortnite maps. Additionally, participants have the chance to win various prizes and can access a virtual car meet-up.

We’ve embraced our customers’ love for car culture by re-posting their car selfies, or ‘carfies,’ on Instagram, curating a collection of car-inspired merch, and even designing our own set of wheels with Model 711. We’re now going full send by transporting our customers’ love for cars to the virtual realm for a one-of-a-kind gaming experience.”
Uncover the secret 7-Eleven island
To participate, fans must download Fortnite if they don’t already have it installed, then follow 7-Eleven on Instagram to find clues. Each car a player finds unlocks part of a map code. After finding all three vehicles, players will have the entire code and can unlock the secret ‘There Car’ island.
The island features a virtual store and gas station. Players can search the island for easter eggs and snag a photo of their avatar with the branded cars with the chance to win prizes by sharing their pictures to Instagram. Prizes include a custom gaming chair, a $500 credit for 7NOW Delivery and weekly fuel discounts. To win, players must tag @7eleven in their Instagram post, which must also include #7ElevenSweepstakes and #ThereCar.
The experience ends this Friday, August 25th.
