3D world-building platform Passage has raised $6 million via a private sale of its native tokens called PASG. The platform will use its new funds to achieve its vision of developing and growing the Passage platform.
Led by Akash Network, the funding round will support four key areas including:
- Continued development of the Passage social dashboard, which launched earlier this month in Closed Alpha
- Building out its enterprise solution
- Implementing technology partnerships
- Tooling to enable community contributions in the form of plugins, world-building assets, avatar customisations and more

The Passage team reveals that after previously working with brands such as Warner Brothers, Capitol Records, Amazon Studios, and American Girl, it saw a broader potential for these environments after the global pandemic.

The private sale was also supported by Druid Ventures, Vitwit, Cosmostation, HyperChain Capital, Chorus One, and Cogitent Ventures, as well as additional leading Cosmos ecosystem participants, individuals, and DAOs.
AI Integration
Passage has also partnered with Sortium, an AI platform designed for the gaming and virtual production industries.
“Like many, we believe AI has world-changing potential when used properly. So naturally, we wanted to find a way to use it to enhance the Passage experience for creators,” adds Passage.
The partnership will allow Passage users to integrate Sortium’s technology into the Passage World Builder, giving them the ability to customise their worlds, from retexturing objects to generating full 3D models.
Passage will hold a Public Sale and launch of the PASG token on August 29th on StreamSwap.
