Bugatti And Asprey Partner For Most Expensive NFT On Bitcoin Blockchain

The Asprey Bugatti Egg Collection NFTs include luxury physical counterparts and will cost upwards of $20,000

Luxury car company Bugatti is partnering with Asprey Studio to create a new NFT project. The Asprey Bugatti Egg Collection will consist of NFTs and their physical world counterparts. Bugatti is an expensive luxury brand and that’s reflected in the price of the collection. Those familiar with the Bugatti brand know its cars are not cheap. And unsurprisingly neither is the upcoming collection

“The price for the [Asprey Bugatti] eggs number 1-100 will be between $20-50k,” Asprey Studio Chief Creative Officer Ali Walker told nft now. “[Asprey Bugatti] eggs 100-111 will be $200,000 upwards.”

Featuring the Type 41 Royale

The Asprey Bugatti Egg Collection Royal Edition features a carbon fibre eggshell, while a diamond weave lattice encases the egg, which features a motif of Rembrandt Bugatti’s famous ‘Dancing Elephant’ sculpture. A likeness of the sculpture was used as the bonnet mascot for the Bugatti Type 41 Royale. To accurately recreate the sculpture, members of Asprey Studio visited the Bugatti home in France to scan the bonnet mascot of one of the last remaining Type 41 Royale cars.

The egg also features a curved base and has a complex hinged Asprey diamond door that displays the Bugatti home in Molsheim, the Chateau Saint-Jean when opened. A removable sterling silver Bugatti Type 41 Royale Esders sits in front of the likeness of the iconic home.

Asprey and Bugatti do not plan to release images of the inside of the egg until after minting the collection. As of now, the official mint day is unknown. However, delivery of the NFT’s physical counterpart may take up to a year due to the creation process.

“Ettore Bugatti believed in aesthetic engineering, creating art out of each component of his vehicles. He saw the world through the eyes of an artist, taking inspiration from the work of his creative family,” says Wiebke Stahl, Bugatti International Managing Director.

“The creation of the Asprey Bugatti Egg Collection is a wonderful homage to our history and the creations of Ettore, designed with the pioneering spirit and attention to detail that led to his brand becoming revered throughout the world,” Stahl adds.
