The International Game Developers Association (IGDA), a nonprofit membership organisation serving game developers worldwide has appointed Margaret Krohn as the next Chair.
After spending the last 15 years helping businesses and individuals create and market their brand presence to achieve their goals and grow their communities, Krohn is now getting set to lead the IGDA to new heights.
Currently serving as director of communications at Intrepid Studios, the next IGDA chair is also serving as the CMO of Roll4lt, a tabletop role-play broadcast production studio.
New additions to board of directors
The IGDA has also revealed the addition of four new members to its board including Zak Whaley, a seasoned technology leader and the director of engineering at Play EveryWare; Valentina Birke works as director of Indie Arena Booth at Super Crowd Entertainment.
And also Limpho Moeti, a business developer who has been involved in the gaming industry for seven years and now works as a business development manager at RocketRide Games and lastly, the IGDA has elected Nazih Fares, an award-winning gaming professional with more than 14 years of experience in the game industry.
In addition to these new board members, the IGDA has re-appointed Rami Ismail for a two-year term.
Dr Jakin Vela, executive director of the IGDA said, “We are delighted to welcome Zak, Valentina, Limpho, and Nazih to the IGDA Board of Directors. Their expertise and experience will be invaluable in bringing the IGDA closer to its strategic vision in supporting developers around the world and democratising career opportunities and resources for our global community.”
