Comic Relief US is launching its Kids Relief campaign with a new Roblox Experience, Kids Relief Presents: Solarpunk Simulator. The new campaign aims to aid children in pushing for change in their communities. Likewise, the campaign will donate funds to programs that empower and educate young people as a means to break the cycle of poverty.
“We’re so excited to launch one of the first virtual worlds for a nonprofit and be pioneers in gaming for good, partnering with causes and brands to make a significant impact by creating opportunities for youths to help other young people gain access to education, leadership and empowerment programming,” says Wonder Works Studio CEO Zach Letter.
Solarpunk Simulator Teaches Kids About Collaboration
Kids Relief Presents: Solarpunk Simulator experience teaches users the power of working together for the greater good. The experience features a futuristic world where humans, nature and technology coexist peacefully. Players will meet aliens and help build a spaceship that will take them on an adventure through outer space.
Additionally, players will have the chance to interact virtually with celebrities and influencers. Comedic actor Jack Black will act as the captain of the spaceship and aid players on quests. Solarpunk Simulator also features a store where users can purchase power-ups, tools and new looks for their avatar.
BoyWithUke will host a virtual concert within Kids Relief Presents: Solarpunk Simulator on April 7th to support the launch. A singer, songwriter and producer, BoyWithUke is popular on TikTok due to his minute-long songs.
“I’m really excited to join with Comic Relief US and Roblox to give fans a virtual music experience with a positive message. Playing a concert like this inside a virtual world where we are empowering young people to get involved and help other kids is really inspiring, and I am happy my music can connect all of us,” says BoyWithUke.
