Snap Helps Businesses Integrate AR Using ARES

New augmented reality suite enables retailers to embed a 3D viewer, AR-Try On, and Fit Finder into their apps and websites

Social media and tech company Snap Inc. has unveiled its new AR Enterprise Services (ARES), an enterprise solution that will allow businesses to integrate the company’s AR technology into their respective channels.

Snap aims to provide consumers with an immersive and personalised experience with their favourite brands as well as a suite of advanced tools designed to increase confidence in their purchases.

Jill Popelka, head of AR enterprise services at Snap said, “Over the last decade, we’ve been hard at work bringing fun and personal AR experiences to Snapchatters. In the next decade, we’re excited to take our world-class AR technology to businesses’ websites, apps, and even into their physical locations. We look forward to making the shopping experience more delightful for consumers and transforming businesses around the world with AR Enterprise Services.”

Shopping Suite

ARES’s first solution will be the Shopping Suite containing products and services that provide a 3D viewer, AR-Try On, and Fit Finder that’s embedded inside the retailer’s apps and websites.

Shopping Suite comes with a dedicated service and support that businesses can leverage for AR asset creation and robust technical implementation support. It also comes with enterprise tools that users can use to manage and optimise AR assets and integrations as well as measure performance analytics.

By integrating Snap’s AR Try-On, Fit Finder, and interactive 3D Viewer technology into their apps and websites, retailers will be able offer fit and sizing recommendations, try-on or view products in augmented reality, and interact with products in 3D.

Snap’s ARES Shopping Suite will be widely available to customers by the middle of the year and will include AR shopping for apparel, footwear and accessories.
