Rock and metal musician Ro Panuganti has revealed Arwing Odyssey, a progressive rock journey through the Star Fox 64 soundtrack that takes listeners through the game’s several branching courses.
The album includes hard-hitting riffs, expressive guitar solos, 8-string guitar thump techniques, symphonic rock elements, and dedication to the original game’s soundtrack.
Ro Panuganti commented, “Arwing Odyssey is an album designed around speed, with more tracks hitting hard out the gate. I was excited to use more 8-string friendly techniques on guitar like thump and tons of sound design as well to recreate fun effects in the game. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten to produce an album this clear, punchy, and play around with voice acting and monster sounds all at once. Fans of Star Fox and modern metal will hopefully appreciate and enjoy the extra care going into its big over-the-top sound.”
The album is also engineered to embrace the modern metal sound with its 1990s video game source including sound design elements, meticulously-crafted instruments, and transitions to share an incredibly unique experience with fans.
There are 19 tracks in the Arwig Odyssey album with a total of 38 minutes and features the entire Star Fox 64 soundtrack that was originally composed by Koji Kondo and Hajime Wakai.
Arwig Odyssey is now available on all digital storefronts and streaming platforms as well as a limited vinyl launch via Respawned Records next year.
