Styngr, a music integration platform for the metaverse and game development has announced a new creators fund that’ll allow game developers to add custom radio stations and music audio snippets called Styngs as part of in-game DLC.
Game developers can also add features like custom drops, social media activations, artist likenesses and lots more. The platform also aims to partner with major artists to pave the way for game developers to reach a large and highly-engaged audience.
Alex Tarrand, chief operating officer of Styngr commented, “We want to pioneer music as a form of live ops across gaming and the metaverse. The Creator Fund allows us to provide opportunities to game developers and help them drive their IP. We’re excited to support all game developers in realizing their work – as well as direct funds to artists so they can have their music, and even likeness, featured in titles across all genres and platforms.”
In its vision to help game developers create value at zero cost, Styngr’s Creator Fund will also promote record labels and artists, bringing popular labels, games and the metaverse all together with music.
Up to $100,000 in artist and licensing fees will be covered with the Creator Fund, as well as provide creators with the technical, financial and promotional support they need to launch experiences and drive community growth.
Styngr’s Creator Fund is open to all studios across game development and metaverse platforms. Accepted applicants will get access to Styngr’s complete support suite as well as grants to launch major artist and music activations in their games for free.
