Developers Zynga Has Delayed Star Wars: Hunters to 2023 – the second time the highly anticipated game has been delayed.
Zynga’s Star Wars: Hunters, a squad-based PvP shooter that was previously scheduled to release on Nintendo Switch, Android and iOS devices. After attracting much anticipation and interest – being the high-profile movile developer’s first ever game on a console (Nintendo’s Switch) – the game has apparently suffered dev setbacks at it seeks to leap platforms for maximum audience.
“Reasons given not, they are”
The game’s developers took to Twitter to make the announcement but did not specify a specific reason that led to the delay of the highly anticipated game. The tweet stated that Star Wars Hunters was delayed in order to “meet the high expectations we are setting for fans globally and ourselves as developers”.
The post went on to state that Zynga’s development team is “working tirelessly to achieve our vision for Star Wars: Hunters. We understand game delays are frustrating, however, our top priority is ensuring players will have the best possible experience in the arena.”
Star Wars Hunters is currently available to play in select countries after it was soft-launched some months back. Zynga promised that it’ll regularly continue updating the beta version until the game is launched globally.
Originally, the game was aiming for a late 2021 release before it was delayed to 2022 and now to 2023. Although Zynga has released both a cinematic and gameplay trailer that shows the game’s playable characters, little to no announcements have been made ever since.
