Anyone that has any idea what’s going on in the NFT space will know that Snoop Dogg has made his presence well-known already. Now, the legendary rapper turned NFT/metaverse-enthusiast, has teamed up with Food Fighters Universe to create a new ‘immersive retail dessert experience.’
Known as ‘Dr. Bombay’s Sweet Exploration’ (Dr Bombay being the name of Dogg’s BAYC NFT), aims to combine the unique artistry of BAYC, with special perks for NFT holders across its restaurants – specifically Food Fighters Universe’s own series of NFTs.
According to the team, these NFTs will be minted in June, and would likely serve as a means of fundraising for its restaurant locations, along with giving their holders special perks.
It is one of the more interesting attributes behind BAYC NFTs. Of course, you have celebrities like Eminem who reliably use their Bored Ape’s as social avatars. But these same NFTs are wholly their owner’s possession – even down to commercializing them.
This, of course, isn’t the team’s first rodeo when it comes to BAYC-themed eateries. The team behind Food Fighters Universe were the same team that set up Bored and Hungry earlier in 2022. Originally set up as a 90-day pop-up, the team found that local and global popularity conspired to make it a permanent fixture.
