Games Workshop has long cast its eye on the mobile market and partnered with Nexon in December 2021 to bring its flagship fantasy franchise, Age of Sigmar, to mobile with an upcoming “socially interactive” player-versus-environment title.
Games Workshop, based in Nottingham, UK, was founded in 1975 by games industry legends John Peake, Ian Livingstone and Steve Jackson. It is best known for its Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 range of tabletop wargames. High profile fans include the actor Henry Cavill. Today, Games Workshop is a true transmedia powerhouse with science fiction and fantasy universes spanning films, novels, comics, video games and more.
Professional geek Dave is General Manager of Steel Media, the company behind Beyond Games. He leads the company strategy, especially its events, marketing and editorial teams. Dave started his career writing game reviews in the 1990s and has since served as editor-in-chief of publications including the official Microsoft magazine and SFX, the leading science fiction magazine.
