The CEO of games hardware firm Razer, Min-Liang Tan, has said that the cost of laptop components is set to increase significantly.
Posting on Twitter, the exec warned that next-gen laptops will likely cost more year-over-year. This includes Razer’s own tech, like its Blade laptop.
“Just had a long meeting to review our gaming laptops line for next year,” Tan wrote, “looks like there are significant increases in component costs etc and we’ll be seeing price increases for next-gen gaming laptops across the board next year.”
This is part of the ongoing chip supply problem that is impacting various industries around the world.
