Roblox is looking for game developers and studios who love experimenting with new technology and want the opportunity to bring their vision to life. The metaverse leader has now launched a Game Fund to provide the resources that creators need to build the next generation of experiences.
The goal is to partner closely with developers to provide not just funding, but also the support to push the boundaries of what Roblox experiences can deliver. The first few applications have already been green-lit.
Roblox is looking for projects with innovative gameplay, ambitious visual designs, and creative ideas that are unlike anything else on the platform. They are particularly looking for content that includes:
- Multiplayer, cross-platform gameplay, with mobile optimisation
- Social mechanics as key to the experience
- In-game avatars that reflect elements of the user’s platform avatar identity
- Ability to leverage metaverse items
The scheme is now accepting applications from teams and individuals aged 18 or older.
