Ubisoft’s Rabbids Have Invaded The Sandbox

Players will be able to enjoy a range of interactive experiences and unique Voxel characters

If there are two brands that are truly synonymous with Ubisoft, one is Assassin’s Creed, the other? Rabbids. More commonly known from their origins in Rayman, and offshoot titles, now, the Rabbids have dropped into The Sandbox.

Along with other major brands already on The Sandbox, Ubisoft will have its own LAND-based entertainment destination. Within this land, players will be able to enjoy a range of interactive experiences and unique Voxel characters. For content creators on the metaverse, users will also be able to incorporate these new voxel assets using The Sandbox’s VoxEdit and Game Maker tools.

For the moment, according to an announcement from the team, work is underway to create voxelized versions of Rabbids characters and items for players to use in-game.

Speaking on behalf of the Ubisoft team as its Senior Manager of New Business and Partnerships, Guillaume Mammi, expressed a great deal of enthusiasm at bringing the Rabbids to the metaverse.

“We’re excited to bring the Rabbids to The Sandbox community and to empower players to create their own original experiences incorporating elements of our gaming IP. We can’t wait to see how they make the Rabbids’ world their own… The Sandbox is an obvious new fun playground addition to the long list of Rabbids world invasions, and a great opportunity for Ubisoft to experiment a metaverse experience for its brands.”
