Shantell Martin launches live‌ ‌art‌ ‌experience‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌metaverse‌

Stageverse‌ offers immersive and innovative opportunities for creators to connect and build virtual communities

Stageverse, a metaverse platform connecting communities and creators through 3D virtual venues, ownable digital content, and interactive experiences, has announced a collaboration with artist Shantell Martin, to‌ ‌give‌ ‌users‌ a‌ unique‌ ‌virtual‌ ‌experience.‌

Martin’s ‌art‌ ‌will‌ ‌digitally‌ ‌appear‌ ‌as‌ ‌a‌ ‌collaborative‌ ‌’take‌ ‌over’ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ immersive ‌waterfall‌ ‌featured‌ ‌within‌ ‌the‌ Stageverse universe, which users can explore as avatars. This is Martin’s first metaverse art installation and the collaboration can be used as a pioneering example of future opportunities for artists to leverage the Stageverse platform.

Live until December 17th, the collaboration launched when Martin and Stageverse co-hosted a live Meet and Greet in the Stageverse universe on November 17 and ‌auctioned‌ ‌off‌ Martin‌’s autographed book to five winners during‌ ‌an‌ ‌online‌ ‌giveaway.‌

“I was really inspired by the space created by the artists of Stageverse,” said artist Shantell Martin. “There is so much potential to create new experiences and community. I really wanted to play around with movement and I fell in love with the Waterfall feature that everyone who enters Stageverse is immediately introduced to. I loved the idea of also using the abstract forms that water itself creates and how that could be woven into my work with lines.”

“Stageverse‌ ‌is‌ ‌creating‌ ‌a‌ ‌new‌ ‌home‌ ‌for‌ ‌identity,‌ ‌community,‌ ‌and‌ ‌culture‌ ‌to‌ thrive. We’re excited to introduce a new type of experience that empowers the next generation of creators to build immersive communities,” said Stageverse Co-Founder and CEO Tim Ricker. “We see this as an opportunity that allows them to deepen ‌connection‌ ‌and‌ ‌engagement‌ ‌with‌ ‌their‌ ‌communities‌ ‌in‌ ‌real-time‌ in familiar but innovative ways.‌”

Stageverse‌ ‌hosted a two-hour concert by ‌Muse‌ in VR earlier this year.
